Roanoke-Benson Parents and Staff,
The forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning will force us to close school again tomorrow, Thursday, February 3.
Our administrators observed several online classrooms throughout the school district today. We continue to be impressed with the growth of our students and teachers' ability to learn and teach online. Although E-Learning will never replace in-person instruction, RB students were engaged in meaningful learning today. The hours of professional development for our staff and investment in technology such as Chromebooks and apps has led to valuable skills that our students will use throughout their lives.
However, when we adopted E-Learning in 2020 we also committed to taking a balanced approach with its implementation. Therefore, we will have a traditional snowday tomorrow (no online instruction).
A decision regarding Friday has not been made at this time.
